Dunbrody Famine Ship

The Dunbrody Famine Ship is a full scale replica of the three-masted barque built in Quebec in 1845 which carried thousands of emigrants from Ireland to North America over a period of thirty years. The passengers were escaping from Ireland during the potato famine and were squeezed into this small ship. Visitors will experience the sights, smells and sounds of the travel over the ocean. You can get there either by car or by bus no. 40 directions Wexford/Rosslare leaving at Waterford Bus Station.
